April 2017 - A New Paint Job and Much Needed School Supplies
The first Kids for Kosovo project was led by Allen Jones II who took on the project to receive his Eagle Scout. Allen was able to deliver computers, a projector, a printer, lots of tables and chairs, and other school supplies to a primary school in Mirosalë, Kosovo. In addition, he was able to work with members of the Mirosalë community to paint the inside of the building.
July 2018 - A New Library
At the same primary school in Mirosalë, Kosovo, Abby Jones (now Slater) headed the first library project. She worked with the community to put together a colorful room full of books.
October 2019 – New Bathrooms
Another member of the Jones family, Caleb Jones, returned to the Mirosalë primary school to lead the first bathroom project. Additionally, he worked with the community to build a play gym on the school’s property.
2020-2021 - Doganaj School Improvements
Although the Covid-19 pandemic made this project difficult, Kids for Kosovo made several improvements to a primary school in Doganaj, Ferizaj, Kosovo during this time. By collaborating with the City of Ferizaj Kids for Kosovo worked to build a new bathroom, a new classroom, install new windows, and repair the roof of this school.
April 2024 – A New Library
Thanks to the help of J House Vlogs – Jeremy and Kendra Johnston and their family, a beautiful library was built in the Enver Topalli Elementary School in Omuraj, Ferizaj, Kosovo.
October 2024 – Cultural Exchange Project
Eliza Jones headed a project in the Dardania Elementary School in Rakaj, Ferizaj, Kosovo. In addition to the library that was built, Eliza and Alma Topalli worked with a group of 4th and 5th graders to learn about and build appreciation for our different cultures.
